Jayson has been with J&J for nearly a decade.  He started off learning the ins and outs of produce as a shipping clerk in the warehouse.  From there he joined our sales team, where he excelled in LTL sales.  Now, he is Trophy Transport’s resident expert in LTL deliveries. 

It has to fit with the temperature.  You can’t put much dry freight with refrigerated cargo.  “You can’t just throw anything with an LTL truck,” he explains.  “Our products are temperature sensitive, typically between 42 and 45 degrees.  Each product has its own temperature sensitivity.  Sometimes tomatoes need to be warmer and we can triple bag those if they’re going a short distance.  Asparagus needs to be shipped colder at 36 degrees.”  For Jayson the puzzle changes daily, hourly, and often by the minute.  “You just have to be very flexible… and know, there is going to be change."
