Sandra comes from a family that knows their produce.  Her grandparents were grape and olive farmers in Portugal, and her father was in the restaurant business.  “I’ve been around food my entire life,” she says.  “I was practically raised in a kitchen, really... my playpen was in the restaurant's kitchen.”

Sandra first landed a job with a produce company in 2001 and says she fell in love with the industry.  “The farming and produce industry is really exciting.  I love the predictable unpredictability of it all.”  She has played an integral role in working with J&J growers since 2007.
