Winston’s childhood was spent on his father’s 300-acre watermelon & squash farm in Belle Glade, Florida, where his father also ran Ford tractor dealership.  This is where Winston learned an ethic of hard work and a passion for produce.

Winston makes sure every box of Trophy-packed produce is the highest quality.  “What doesn’t meet our standards, others just box and ship,” he says.  We pack a premium box and we do whatever it takes to satisfy our customers.

Temperature is the key to freshness, Winston says, and each vegetable demands its own conditions.  Knowing the science behind ripening conditions is critical.  “While the produce is waiting to be processed, we keep it in separate coolers that have charcoal filters to absorb the ethylene gas that is emitted,” he explains.  We are constantly searching for ways to improve our quality and become more efficient.
